Physical Education

The Physical Education Department aims to:
Instil lifelong healthy habits and a lasting appreciation for active, balanced living.
Develop physical literacy, movement competence and confidence so that Marists can participate meaningfully in a wide range of sports and physical activities.
Cultivate character and leadership through integrity, sportsmanship, fair play and responsible personal and social behaviour.
To achieve the Department’s goals, the following programmes and activities are offered:
Curriculum
Progressive PE Curriculum aligned with the Motor Skills and Concepts Framework, building strong movement foundations and physical literacy across the primary years.
Broad learning experiences in athletics, gymnastics, dance, sports and games, outdoor education and personal safety.
Outdoor Education
P3 Non-Residential Camp - an introduction to team-building, risk assessment and peer bonding.
P4 Neighbourhood Green Spaces Trail - exploration of local parks and green corridors to deepen appreciation of biodiversity and the local community.
P5 3D2N Residential Camp - an immersive outdoor experience that develops self-reliance, leadership and outdoor survival skills.
Technology-Enabled Learning
Real-time visual feedback using mobile interactive screens to support self-correction and body awareness in activities such as gymnastics and dance.
Aerial video analysis to help Marists visualise positioning, tactical spacing and decision-making during team games.
Holistic Wellness
Grow Well initiatives that promote healthy daily habits across four areas: Eat Well, Sleep Well, Exercise Well and Learn Well.
Healthy snack and nutrition habits, supported through classroom routines and collaboration with the school canteen.
Targeted health and fitness support for selected Marists through guided activity and healthy lifestyle habits.
Learning for Life Programme (LLP)
Alternative sports exposure beyond the core PE syllabus to broaden Marists' physical capabilities, interests and appreciation of inclusive sporting experiences.
