String Ensemble
Join the String Ensemble to build musical skills and Marist values through performances and competitions.
The String Ensemble CCA aims to:
Develop refined musical skills, including detailed listening, awareness of tonal blend and colour, and precise ensemble coordination.
Inculcate core Marist Values (Presence, Simplicity, Family Spirit, and Love of Work) while cultivating positive while cultivating positive M.A.R.I.S.T. learning dispositions (Motivated, Adventurous, Resilient, Inquiring, Self-disciplined, Team Player)
To achieve the CCA’s goals, the following programmes are offered:
Singapore Youth Festival (SYF) Preparatory Training - comprehensive, rigorous training programs designed to prepare Marists for the biennial SYF Arts Presentation.
Performance Readiness - specialized sessions focused on stage presence and musicality to prepare members for internal and external performance opportunities.
Marists are given the opportunities to participate in the following events:
Performances at key school events, including Marist Educators' Day and HeArts Week.
Community performances, including outreach performances at Sengkang General Hospital
Musical competitions, collaborative projects, and string exchange programmes with other schools.
Marists have performed well in the following competitions:
